Sitting here listening to Anberlin and I hear the following lyrics:
“The world is on fire since you’ve come near. All I’ve ever desired is here with me. You’re here with me.”
Just…wow! I sing these words all the time, but I just realized I haven’t really been paying attention.
I mean, those are really powerful words. Is it possible that people can make other people feel that the world is ON FIRE? I sure hope so. I’ve never experienced it, but I hope that day comes when I feel exactly like this. Sometimes I wonder if that feeling is what will make me feel whole. I’m happy, but there always seems to be something missing. Is it that feeling?
It also reminds me of the episode of How I Met Your Mother where Stella says this to Ted:
“I know that you’re tired of waiting. And you may have to wait a little while more, but she’s on her way Ted. And she’s getting here as fast as she can.”
So…Man of my dreams, I don’t know if I’ll know it when I see you, but I hope that one day you make me feel like the world is on fire, and I hope that one day I can make you feel the same way. So let’s get to each other as fast as we can. :)

Today, Anberlin revealed the artwork for their new album “Dark is the Way, Light is a Place” and it made me really really excited for the album. It’s some of the best artwork I think I’ve ever seen. That, plus the fact that these guys have an uncanny ability to write amazing songs that truly speak. This truly makes me feel like a school girl in love! :) In stores September 7th…yeeeah buddy!!!
