Just spend an evening with me.

Sitting here listening to Anberlin and I hear the following lyrics:

“The world is on fire since you’ve come near. All I’ve ever desired is here with me. You’re here with me.”

Just…wow! I sing these words all the time, but I just realized I haven’t really been paying attention.

I mean, those are really powerful words. Is it possible that people can make other people feel that the world is ON FIRE? I sure hope so. I’ve never experienced it, but I hope that day comes when I feel exactly like this. Sometimes I wonder if that feeling is what will make me feel whole. I’m happy, but there always seems to be something missing. Is it that feeling?

It also reminds me of the episode of How I Met Your Mother where Stella says this to Ted:

“I know that you’re tired of waiting. And you may have to wait a little while more, but she’s on her way Ted. And she’s getting here as fast as she can.”

So…Man of my dreams, I don’t know if I’ll know it when I see you, but I hope that one day you make me feel like the world is on fire, and I hope that one day I can make you feel the same way. So let’s get to each other as fast as we can. :)
